The Smackdown Posted by Deramas on February 3, 2007 at 06:14 AM |
The good times kept on rolling in Nax this week. We managed to drop three new bosses in one night Thursday, which brought our total to four for the week. It took us awhile to figure out our Heigan Dance moves, but Loatheb and Gothik proved to be pretty damn weaksauce at level 70. Those two encounters really scaled well with the increased level cap. We should be able to finish off the zone in one or two more resets. Then we focus our full attention to the new content.

Back To Raiding Posted by Deramas on January 30, 2007 at 11:52 PM |
Finally got back to raiding after the nice little Burning Crusade break. This time we came back to Nax at level 70. We still needed to learn Thaddius, but once we did he went down like the rest. And yes, we do plan to finish Nax and drop Kel'Thuzad.

Happy Birthday Fucktard Posted by Deramas on December 18, 2006 at 12:04 AM |
We finally got some work done on Gluth after three rough weeks of holidays and patches and the results proved beneficial. To make things sweeter, tonight was the one year anniversary of the formation of Perpetuity, and we got to celebrate by putting the motherfucking smackdown to a giant ass undead doggie. Grats to Reggie and Rico on the new loots.

No More Play For Patchwerk Posted by Deramas on November 19, 2006 at 11:40 PM |
Overrated.
It only took us about four hours worth of attempts over the course of two raid nights to drop this tard. He really wasn't all he was worked up to be. Although, I will say he was expensive as shit thanks to all the consumables we burned though. Well worth it though at the end of the day. Big grats go out to Hu and Zarkum on their new spiffy Tier 3 Shoulders too.

And...
It took us a grand total of one attempt to kill Grobbulus. Now this guy did live up to his reputation of being a loot pinata. Seriously Blizzard...what the fuck.

Fuck You C'thun Posted by Deramas on November 6, 2006 at 12:16 AM |
Fuck You!
Fuck you and all the countless wipes, weeks of heartbreak, months of headaches, and uncountable heaps of suffering you've given us! Grats go out to the winners as well. Zarkum and Thugg on the Tier 2.5 chest pieces. Sundern on the caster cloak. Saif on the dps gauntlets. And last but not least, Raneeh on the quest reward ring.

Ouro Go Bye Bye Posted by Deramas on October 8, 2006 at 11:13 PM |
Well uhh...we were suppose to kill C'thun first. But whatever...things just didn't turn out that way. We'll get him next for sure though. In the meantime...rock on for 2.5 pants.

First Wing Down Posted by Deramas on September 28, 2006 at 01:11 AM |
Spider Wing is out of the way. Next up for us is some quality time with C'thun and Ouro. Great job all around. Won't be long before we're back in here taking down Patchwerk.

Keeping Pace Posted by Deramas on September 18, 2006 at 01:04 AM |
Yet another week, and yet another boss down. This week it was Grand Widow Faerlina. She went down surprisingly quick once we got the mind control pattern down. All and all it took us only about 90 minutes worth of attempts to kill her. Got some initial practice on Maexxna too. Based on what we saw she should be a one nighter as well once we get to her. We'll be back to working on C'thun this week though so we'll see what happens.

Thuuuuuuuuuuunderfury... Posted by Deramas on September 17, 2006 at 05:40 PM |
Big grats to Saif and Catrace who are our newest Club Thunderfury members. That brings us to a total of four in the guild overall. Is that tops on the server? I got no idea. That also makes three dwarf tanks in the guild with Thunderfurys. We couldn't tell those fuckers apart as it was, now we'll never be able to.

Another One Bites The Dust Posted by Deramas on September 11, 2006 at 01:55 AM |
One night of attempts was all we needed to dispatch of Noth. Grats to Thugg and Trusty on the loots. Next up for us is Grand Widow and Maexxna.

Back On Track Posted by Deramas on September 4, 2006 at 01:37 AM |
After a lousy week of raiding last week, we got back into form and dropped our second Nax Boss. Instructor Razuvious went down like a bitch after only three hours worth of attempts.
Next up is Noth...

Alcohol Downs Perpetuity Posted by Deramas on July 29, 2006 at 04:15 PM |
This is what happens when you mix lots of booze with a bunch of wow geeks. And that was only from the first night of Perpetuity Con 2006.
Long Live Perpetuity!

They'll keep fighting... and they'll WIN! Posted by Deramas on July 17, 2006 at 01:32 AM |
About fucking time. These guys were definitely our biggest obstacle yet and it sure did feel great to finally stick it to them and breath that long over due sigh of relief. As a bonus, we were also able to finally get some our Qiraji Items made from the Dragon Npc's. Not to mention getting our first tastes of C'thun and Ouro. Fun times to be had ahead. Expect some kill shots shortly.

Another Dragon Down? Posted by Deramas on June 26, 2006 at 02:53 AM |
Another dragon down for us tonight. Took us two attempts, but we got Emeriss down on our second try. Only one left for us to get is Lethon.
In other news...Twin Emps down to 43%. Expect a kill shot soon.

Is That A Dead Dragon? Posted by Deramas on June 22, 2006 at 11:24 AM |
You bet your ass it is! Perpetuity finally got in on the dragon killing game and got us a pair of kills. Our spotters gave us notice that they were up and we headed out to Hinterlands to get Ysondre. We were first on the scene and dropped her on our first attempt. We then headed out to Feralas and gave Taerar similar treatment.
Afterwards, we headed out to Ashenvale and got a stab at Emeriss after Shadowed Fates wiped. Unfortunately though we had no experience at the fight and suffered the same fate. Regardless, it was a great night in capping two out of the four dragons. We'll definitely be getting more soon enough.

Come On You Apes! You Wanna Live Forever? Posted by Deramas on June 16, 2006 at 12:39 AM |
It was about time we got that old feeling back. It had been awhile since we got a truly gratifying kill and we needed this one too. Weeks of boring frustration of farming up all that nature resist gear finally paid off for us. It felt good to finally paste this bitch and introduce ourselves to the Twin Emperors. We still got plenty of good work to get done in this place, but at least now we can start to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Great job from everyone tonight!

Ossirianated! Posted by Deramas on May 23, 2006 at 12:18 AM |
This bastard was a long long long time coming. For whatever reason we just couldn't figure this guy out for the longest of times. He definitely proved to be the thorn in our side that we just couldn't shake free. But all that is in the past, as we dropped him tonight and lifted that large annoying weight off our backs.
Finally!

You See A Bug Hole, NUKE IT! Posted by Deramas on May 20, 2006 at 04:20 PM |
Well we finally figured out Fankriss. Seems the problem was improper group makeup. First time we brought more than four rogues to the fight, he went down like nothing. In any event, we got our first taste of Princess Huhu and as expected, we needs lots more nature resist gear. Expect to see her downed shortly though, as we've already made good progress on her.
Meanwhile, the Blackwing Lair farm continues, as we've scored kill number seven on Nefarian. Slowly but surely we're gearing up properly for Ahn'Qiraj and Naxxramas.

Perpetuity Needs You! Posted by Deramas on May 14, 2006 at 05:23 PM |
As you can probably tell, we are opening up recruitment again for a short time. We're looking to both replace a few members and expand our numbers some. If you think you have what it takes then read our charter, visit our forums, and post your application.
We normally only raid around four days a week, but be ready to raid everyday and go till at least 1am. You need to have raid experience in at least Molten Core and be properly geared. At this point we aren't bringing in anymore under geared initiates as we will soon be bumping Molten Core out of raid schedule.
You must maintain a high degree of attendance and you must perform as expected. If you cant raid at least five days a week, do not apply. If you need to leave raids early, do not apply. If you cant follow orders and spec your class properly for a raid environment, then this is not the guild for you. If you would rather be pvping, then this is not the guild for you.
Right now we are taking the following applications...
- Restoration Druids
- Holy Specced Paladins
- Non Shadow Priests
- Geared and Experienced Warlocks
- Geared and Experienced Rogues
- Geared and Experienced Protection Specced Warriors

Exterminated! Posted by Deramas on May 5, 2006 at 03:13 AM |
Slowly but surely we're making our way through AQ40 as we push toward C'thun. After downing the Royal Trio we finally were able to get Battleguard Sartura down at last. We scored our first kill with only two members left standing in the raid. Sloppy sure, but we'll take it and get to work on Fankriss.
All in all, things are starting to round into shape with regards to AQ40. Blackwing Lair is officially on farm status and we're well into the process of gearing up our Tier 2 Sets to sludge through AQ40.
Another update soon...

Time To Get Into The War! Posted by Deramas on April 10, 2006 at 02:40 AM |
Well we finally made our way into Ahn Qiraj and got our asses into the war. The Prophet Skeram was a pushover but a win is a win. Feels great to finally have our foot in the door in AQ40. Even if we did get our asses handed to us by Battleguard Sartura. We shall be returning shortly though to continue our push toward Cthun.
Grats all around to a fantastic weekend for Perpetuity!

Nefarian Down Posted by Deramas on April 6, 2006 at 11:27 PM |
This was a long time coming, but we finally got his ass down. We should had him down last week, but all the server trouble and reset glitches put us back. Whatever though, he's down and we're off to Ahn Qiraj! Big round of congrats to the whole guild for working our asses off to get to this point. This was a sweet and well earned kill.
Grats to the winners as well. Lasher and Fershizzle on their Tier II Robes, Lilindra on his Talisman of Connivery, and Crelone on the Head.

Dont Mess With Thugg! Posted by Deramas on March 25, 2006 at 02:30 AM |
Big round of congrats to our favorite spitting dwarf in plate on his brand spanking new Thunderfury. Well deserved for all the fine tanking he's done for us these past few months. So consider this fair warning. If you cross paths with Thugg, not only will he spit on you, but now he'll totally fuck your ass up with a Thunderfury.
In other news, we have Nefarian down to 37%. So expect a corpse shot here within the next few days.

Chromaggus Down Posted by Deramas on March 6, 2006 at 12:02 AM |
What an intense night it was! It took us all night, but we managed to kill Chromaggus on our first ever night of attempts on him. He was definitely a handful having to deal with Time Lapse and Corrosive Acid on our first night, but we pulled it off with only one death on our kill attempt. What made things even sweeter was the fact that we wiped at 1% a few tries prior. Big round of congrats to the whole guild, we've made amazing progress in a short amount of time. There's no limit to what we can accomplish in this guild.

We also got to meet our old pal Nefarian again. Unfortunately he wasn't too happy to see us, as his buddies came to greet us and gave us a humbling ass whooping. But have no fear, we'll be right back in there next week.

Ebonroc and Flamegor Down Posted by Deramas on March 3, 2006 at 03:17 AM |
More success this week. Our first raid of the week gave us the chance to clear all the way up to Firemaw in one night. So with Firemaw already dusted for the week, we were able to get right to work on Ebonroc. After some tinkering we managed to drop him on our 4th try of the evening.

As always, a group shot is in order with Buckshot cropped out...

We quickly moved on to Flamegor afterwards and easily downed him after a few tries as well.

With both drakes dead in one night, we had a clear path to Chromaggus. Sure, we got raped. But we'll have a whole night of attempts on him come Sunday. And as an added bonus, our first week on him will test us with Corrosive Acid and Time Lapse.
Good Times!

Firemaw Down Posted by Deramas on February 26, 2006 at 10:44 PM |
Another week, yet another boss down in Blackwing Lair. After cleaning out the first three bosses in one night, we began to work on Firemaw on Thursday. We did make great strides taking him down to 8% but we couldn't finish him off. However, we returned tonight and easily dispatched him on our third attempt.

A well deserved group shot was in order as well. Congrats to the winners to be sure. Fanas won his pair of Bloodfang Gloves and Lucandra won his Paladin Trinket.

We also managed to get back into Ahn Qiraj last night and managed to take down Ayamiss the Hunter. He was a pushover for sure. One of these days we'll get enough Warlocks around and take down Moam.

Broodlord Down Posted by Deramas on February 20, 2006 at 04:25 AM |
Well after a rough week we finally got Vaelastrasz down again and got back to Broodlord. After an initial wipe clearing the gauntlet we finally got to him and downed him on our first ever attempt on him. It was a hectic fight but we were on the ball with our heals and had him down without too much trouble.
Great job all around on another successful week of Blackwing Lair. Extra congrats go out to our healers during the Broodlord fight. They really were on the ball with their heals and we couldn't have it done it otherwise. Next week we hope to add Firemaw to our list, as we got a good feel for him already after only a couple attempts. So see you all next week...

Vaelastrasz Down Posted by Deramas on February 12, 2006 at 11:50 PM |
Fantastic job from the entire guild tonight. Everybody brought their game and we simply got it done. We're all very proud of the fact that we were able to make so much progress on him in so little time. We took him down on only our second night of attempts and three days after downing Razorgore for the first time. We knew we had him when we got him to 4% a few attempts prior, but we still went nuts when we saw his ass drop to the floor.
Congrats to our mages tonight as well. Vael was kind enough to drop two Netherwind Belts and the Mage Trinket. So big grats to Lasher, Selean and Raneeh. We'll enjoy this for awhile and get back to work on Tuesday. We plan to have Broodlord and hopefully Firemaw down by this time next week.

Jin'do Down...Finally Posted by Deramas on February 12, 2006 at 05:56 AM |
Well we finally got around to killing Jin'do tonight. Certainly not all he was hyped to be as we dropped him without too much trouble really. In any event, it feels good to finally officially have ALL of Zul'Gurub on farm status.
We also got our first taste of the new and improved Hakkar. I personally give it two thumbs up as the fight is definitely much much more interesting now. Difficulty wise, he wasn't too much harder than before, as we managed to drop him on our 4th attempt I believe. He just took a little getting used to in his new and improved format.
